St Mary's Island, Whitley Bay The Earth's rotation causes the stars to look like they are moving (slowly) in the night's sky, when in actual fact it's the Earth moving, whilst the stars are remaining completely still. This is my first attempt at star trail photography and for this image I combined 97 30 second exposures. So you could say this image is a representative of 2910 seconds.

The Quayside, Newcastle Upon Tyne This is one of those lucky shots. The water was perfectly calm and still, allowing for surreal reflections to appear upon the tyne river.

Campsite near Keswick, Lake District

Mount Latrigg, Lake District After climbing Mount Latrigg we were greeted with a light rain downpour, which caused some problems. In the end I settled with shooting 4 shots for a panorama. I stitched those four photos together using Photoshop to create this stunning view. Mount Latrigg overlooks the town of Keswick and Derwent Water.
